About the Role
BAM UK&I is seeking an Environmental Sustainability Manager - Nature Lead to provide strong ecological expertise and support the delivery of BAM's Nature Positive Plan. This role involves practical ecological input on live sites, tender opportunities, and early design stages, with a focus on biodiversity and ecology including Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), protected species licensing, GIS, and nature-risk management. You will champion a culture of continual improvement in BAM's nature-positive journey, working closely with the Head of Nature and multi-disciplinary teams to integrate biodiversity considerations into projects and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. The role also involves horizon scanning of government policy and industry developments, driving nature-positive initiatives, embedding nature-friendly supply chain arrangements, supporting client engagement and bid preparation, and contributing to sustainability reporting such as CSRD and TNFD.
