About the Role
Join Yunex Traffic, a market leader in intelligent traffic solutions and pioneers in the EV charging market. As an EV Charging Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic, field-based team responsible for the commissioning, maintenance, and support of fast, rapid, and ultra-rapid EV chargers across the UK. Your role will involve servicing, upgrading, and troubleshooting AC and DC EV chargers while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality. You will conduct electrical testing and periodic inspections, manage vehicle stock levels, and communicate effectively with contractors and customers both on-site and digitally. The role also includes handling emergency repairs, supporting out-of-hours work, completing product training, and achieving National Highways Sector Scheme accreditation. Occasional overseas travel and support for other engineering areas such as traffic signals may be required. Experience
- Experience working with low and medium voltage electrical systems
- Experience working with IT equipment
- Safety-conscious and detail-oriented, comfortable working outdoors

A proactive problem-solver who is eager to learn and thrives in a team environment. You must hold a full driving licence and live in proximity to one of our depots.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Full driving licence
Desirable:
- Level 3 Electrical qualification (e.g., EAL, City & Guilds)
- ECS Gold Card and City & Guilds 2391-52 or equivalent
- City & Guilds 2921-31-32-33 or equivalent
- 18th edition BS7671 qualification
- Experience with photovoltaic panel systems and battery energy storage systems
- HERS registered
