Hours
Full Time
Salary
£1,000 per week
About the Role
CarbonChain is a climate tech company transforming carbon accounting by turning complex supply-chain data into actionable insights for commodity producers and traders. We are seeking an Executive Assistant & Office Manager to support our C-level leadership and manage our Camden office environment. This is a new role with no inherited processes, offering the opportunity to define what excellent executive and office support looks like at CarbonChain.
You will split your time between providing high-level executive support—managing calendars, travel, correspondence, meetings, and confidential information—and creating a welcoming, well-run office culture. You will also own day-to-day office operations, including supplies, onboarding/offboarding, and internal communications. Using AI tools daily to automate routine tasks is a key part of this role, allowing you to focus on judgement, prioritisation, and improving processes.
This role reports to the Head of Operations and requires a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and discretion. You will be instrumental in shaping the workplace experience and supporting leadership to operate efficiently in a fast-growing climate tech company.
Experience
5+ years in executive assistance, office management, workplace experience, or operations roles. Experience in a high-growth start-up or scale-up environment is a plus. Exposure to budgeting, vendor negotiation, or basic bookkeeping is desirable. Experience supporting founders or C-level executives directly is advantageous.
About you
Strong judgement with the ability to prioritise tasks independently and escalate when necessary. Comfortable working with ambiguity and making decisions without step-by-step direction. Proficient in using AI tools (e.g., Claude, scheduling agents) to streamline transactional tasks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to interact professionally with executives, colleagues, and external partners. Discreet and mature handling of confidential information. Proactive and solution-oriented, addressing root causes rather than symptoms. Passionate about fostering a positive office culture and attention to detail.
Qualifications
No specific formal qualifications required; a positive attitude, strong organisational skills, and a willingness to learn and adapt are essential.
