About the Role
As a Field Service Engineer at Trina Solar, you will support and execute on-site installations and commissioning works of Trina’s energy storage projects across the UK. You will play a key role in supervising project site activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations, and supporting smooth delivery of equipment on site. Reporting site progress to engineering and project managers, you will also assist in resolving quality issues and punch list items. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and implementation of Trina’s service and maintenance structure, working closely with contractors, suppliers, and client representatives to ensure successful project execution.

Experience
- Suitable engineering degree or relevant qualifications
- Experience in commissioning or maintenance of electrical equipment related to Solar PV and/or Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects
- Strong site experience with a hands-on mentality
- Proven adherence to safety regulations (CDM) in operational settings
- Familiarity with electrical standards, regulations, and legislation such as BS 7671 (18th edition)
- CSCS card holder or equivalent
- Excellent MS Office skills; experience with SCADA and MODBUS is a plus

- Highly developed interpersonal skills to effectively interface with contractors, suppliers, and client representatives
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively in support of the existing and new Energy Storage fleet
- Passionate about your work with strong communication skills
- Flexible, positive attitude with a structured and dedicated approach to work
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
