About the Role
TRC, Member of WSP, is a global environmental and engineering consulting firm delivering innovative solutions across energy, transportation, infrastructure, environmental, and property sectors. As a Geo-Environmental Consultant, you will support the delivery of project assignments related to environmental due diligence, contaminated land investigation and remediation, geotechnical investigation, environmental planning and permitting, EHS management, and energy use reporting. This role is ideal for an early careers professional with site investigation experience, holding a full UK driving license and willing to travel throughout the UK, with potential overseas travel opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include supervising site investigations, overseeing drilling contractors using various techniques, managing trial pitting operations, logging to British Standards, performing field testing and environmental screening, sampling soils and groundwater, monitoring ground gas and soil vapor, writing up site data, preparing desk study and Tier 1 reports, and contributing to Tier 2 factual and preliminary risk assessment reports. You will work closely with project teams to provide technical expertise and support the successful delivery of projects.
Experience
Experience in site investigations and supervision of drilling and trial pitting operations is essential. Ability to perform field testing, environmental screening, and sampling is required. Experience with logging to British Standards and preparing environmental and geotechnical records is expected.

Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams. Strong problem-solving and technical writing skills. Must hold a full UK driving license and be willing to travel extensively within the UK.
Qualifications
BSc or higher degree, preferably a postgraduate qualification such as MSc, in geology, geo-environmental, or geotechnical engineering discipline. Understanding of relevant contaminated land guidance including LCRM, NHBC, CIRIA, Eurocode, and British Standards is preferred.
