About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Commercial team at Liverpool City Council. We are looking for multiple graduates who wish to gain experience and contribute to the team through the completion of appropriate duties in relevant work areas and the successful completion of the CIEH Environmental Health Practitioner (EHP) portfolio within 24 months. This post places you at the heart of a passionate and dynamic department critical to delivering the Council’s services.
The role of Environmental Health Officer involves a wide range of regulatory functions, balancing proportionate risk-based enforcement interventions with local businesses. You will carry out food hygiene inspections, reactive and proactive health and safety enforcement, infectious disease controls, complaint investigations, sampling, and project work. You will manage your own workload and have the opportunity to apply your professional skills and knowledge to improve standards.

Experience
Graduates with an accredited Environmental Health Degree (BSc, MSc, or equivalent) are invited to apply. Previous experience is not explicitly required but a proactive and investigative approach to work is essential.

Qualifications
