About the Role
Join Fexco Property Services Group, managing over 100,000 properties across England and Wales, in an exciting new role focused on delivering sector-leading green space and habitat management. As Green Infrastructure & Biodiversity Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of over 650 sites ranging from small residential estates to large garden villages, country parks and urban extensions, many with ecological features such as woodlands, ponds and waterways.
You will be responsible for managing estate contracts including landscape and habitat maintenance, Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), protected species and biodiversity features, estate cleansing and lighting. Acting as the primary on-site representative, you will build positive relationships with residents, contractors, developers and stakeholders, responding to queries and ensuring concerns are resolved effectively.
This hybrid role involves spending approximately four days per week visiting sites to monitor contractor performance, assess landscape quality, inspect habitats and environmental assets, and identify opportunities for improvement. You will specify remedial works, scrutinise completed works, control expenditure, and support the development of landscape specifications, management plans, site budgets and maintenance programmes.
Additional responsibilities include undertaking pre-handover inspections of new developments, auditing landscape installations, habitat creation areas, SuDS features, public open spaces and ecological enhancements to ensure compliance with approved plans, planning conditions and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) requirements. You will support the implementation, monitoring and reporting of Habitat Management and Monitoring Plans, ensuring compliance with legal obligations and long-term environmental objectives.
Regular travel within your designated area is required, along with occasional attendance at company offices, training events, meetings and industry activities. Support to neighbouring areas may also be needed.
