About the Role
This is a Fixed Term Contract role for 3-6 months, starting January 2026. At Currys, we are united by a passion to help everyone enjoy amazing technology. As the UK's best-known retailer of tech, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service through our team of 25,000 dedicated colleagues. The Group Carbon & Environment Manager will define, measure, and facilitate the reduction of Currys' environmental impact, focusing on climate change and the circular economy. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across upstream and downstream activities to embed environmental best practices, drive behaviour change, and improve colleague and customer engagement through targeted awareness programmes and communications. Additional focus areas include natural capital and resource consumption.

Key responsibilities include contributing to the development and implementation of Currys' sustainability strategy, defining and monitoring significant environmental risks such as climate change, waste, and pollution, and influencing stakeholders to meet ambitious environmental commitments including science-based climate targets and circular business models for electronics. You will lead cross-functional environmental projects, support customer propositions promoting recycling and sustainable purchases, and provide regular reporting to the Group Sustainability Leadership Team and Board. The role also involves managing external reporting requirements (e.g., TCFD, CDP, BRC initiatives), supporting internal learning on environmental impact reduction, and working closely with Corporate Affairs and Communications to amplify key messages.

Requirements

Experience
5-10 years' experience in relevant environmental roles within industry.

About you
Advanced skills in project management, stakeholder management, accounting and financial management, written and verbal communication, problem solving, and results delivery. You are able to analyse complex data and situations to recommend optimal solutions and communicate complex stories compellingly across multiple channels.
