As Group Environmental Strategy Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of environmental strategy across the Group. Success in this role means embedding environmental considerations into business strategy and plans, ensuring compliance with evolving legislation, and enhancing our leadership position in key sustainability areas. The role focuses on UK and Group strategy delivery, with emphasis on two of our three sustainability pillars: circular economy and climate.

Your responsibilities will include contributing to Currys' sustainability strategy through insights and thought leadership, translating goals into actionable programmes, and collaborating with senior leaders across the Group. You will identify and monitor environmental impacts, risks, and opportunities across the value chain, ensuring alignment with social impact activities. Leading climate transition planning and supporting circular economy initiatives will be key aspects of your role.

You will maintain a credible environmental narrative supported by data and insights for external stakeholders, ensure compliance with UK and EU environmental reporting requirements, and drive internal capability advancement through sharing best practices and horizon scanning. Acting as a sustainability expert, you will provide subject matter expertise to colleagues and senior leaders, engage with membership bodies, and represent Currys in public policy and external forums.

Experience
- 5-10 years' experience in relevant sustainability roles within large, listed, and/or global businesses.
- Proven track record in developing and executing sustainability strategies in corporate or consultancy settings.
- Strong knowledge of retail and technology-related sustainability topics.
- Experience delivering strategic environmental projects in consultancy and/or in-house roles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders while meeting deadlines.
