We are seeking an experienced and driven Health, Safety and Environment Manager to join our Health and Safety Leadership Team. This key role focuses on enhancing and embedding consistent health, safety, and environmental practices across the organisation.
You will lead a team of three and play an active role in delivering strategic initiatives, systems, and processes that support a safe and sustainable working environment. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues across offices and contact centres, providing the opportunity to influence and support a culture of continuous improvement in health and safety.
Key responsibilities include managing health and safety data systems to deliver accurate, real-time metrics and dashboard insights that support business reporting and decision-making; supporting the implementation of strategic health and safety plans across office and contact centre locations; contributing to the development and definition of health and safety standards tailored to diverse working environments; assisting in governance by monitoring legislative and business changes and updating internal standards accordingly; creating, auditing, and reviewing health and safety policies, procedures, and working practices to ensure they remain effective and inclusive; and promoting consistency and risk reduction through regular audits and process reviews.
Experience
- Extensive experience in a health and safety role, ideally within a fast-paced or FMCG environment.
- Proven experience in leading and developing teams with a collaborative and supportive leadership style.
- Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation, regulations, and best practices.
- Confidence in using IT systems and tools, including platforms such as SharePoint and Power BI.
About you
- Experienced in working within corporate office and contact centre environments, understanding the unique health and safety considerations in these settings.
- Collaborative leader who can influence and support a culture of continuous improvement.
- Able to travel occasionally between sites (full UK driving licence required).
Qualifications
- A degree or a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (or an equivalent recognised qualification).
