About the Role
Are you passionate about creating safer, more sustainable industrial environments? Join Holcim as a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager on a fixed-term contract until 2028 at our brand-new Tilbury Grinding Station, a state-of-the-art cement terminal. This is a rare opportunity to shape and establish the health and safety culture from the ground up. As the site is newly commissioned, you will design, implement, and embed HSE systems, policies, and practices that will set the benchmark for years to come.
In this pivotal site-based role, you will lead the day-to-day safety and compliance agenda, working closely with operational, engineering, and contractor teams. You will take full responsibility for ensuring compliance with UK regulations and wider Holcim standards across all areas of site operation—from maintenance and production to lab and logistics activities.
As the key health and safety presence on-site, you will:
- Champion and embed a strong safety culture from day one
- Deliver essential training and inductions
- Develop and roll out risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Lead on incident management and investigation
- Drive continuous improvement in HSE performance
