Up to £48,202 per annum + £0.50 per hour HGV licence bonus, 1.25x overtime rate, 2x Sundays rate, 2x Bank Holiday rate, plus Veolia benefits and a £3,000 sign-on and retention bonus
About the Role
As a Mobile HGV Technician at Veolia, you will play a pivotal role in keeping our diverse fleet of vehicles safe and operational, supporting the Gerrards Cross Commercial depot. Your responsibilities will include routine body inspections, defect repairs, fault finding, and ensuring the reliability and safety of our HGV fleet so that street side operatives can effectively serve millions of customers. You will be responsible for securing workshop vans, personal tools, and welding equipment each night, ensuring all welding and electrical equipment is turned off and left in a safe condition. The role may also require attending roadside breakdowns and working collaboratively as part of a team. Experience
Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Technician is preferred, ideally with an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification. Experience working with HGVs is advantageous.
About you
You should be a skilled and motivated technician, willing to work as part of a team and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and reliability. Holding an HGV driving licence is desirable, but if you do not have one, you should be willing to gain this through training. You must supply your own comprehensive tool kit. Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification is preferred but not essential if you have relevant experience. A valid HGV driving licence is desirable or willingness to obtain one through training.
