About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to work alongside Thames Water managers, providing the link between the operational business and the People team. You will deliver a professional, high-quality, and customer-focused HR service to managers and leadership teams. Your responsibilities will include overseeing, facilitating, and carrying out generalist HR processes that support Thames Water in achieving business objectives while enabling employees to flourish. You will build and manage internal relationships with key stakeholders to enhance and continually improve the quality of the HR service.

Key activities include supporting people managers with the employee lifecycle and implementation of the people strategy, partnering effectively to deliver a high-quality HR service, providing expert advice and guidance to managers and leaders, analysing and interpreting HR data to measure and manage performance, and communicating findings to business leaders. You will also work closely with the Employee Relations team to offer advice and support on cases and potential risks, and collaborate with HR teams across the business to support delivery of business needs, ensuring strategies and planned benefits are understood and influencing HR thinking and solutions.

This is a temporary 12-week assignment starting ASAP, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a large and dynamic organisation. You will be on assignment at Thames Water via Pertemps.

Requirements

Experience
- Broad experience across HR disciplines with an understanding of legal implications.
- Proven ability to lead and build strong, influential relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience managing HR change projects.
- Skilled in analysing HR and business metrics and developing solutions.
- Ability to make influential decisions in a business context, shaping and influencing others.
- Comfortable challenging current practices and recommending continuous improvements using successful change management.
- Solid understanding of employee engagement and coaching leaders to create value.
- Experience implementing people initiatives and developing metrics to measure impact.

Qualifications
Associate Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) membership or equivalent is desirable.
