About the Role
Join Altrad, a leading provider of infrastructure services, and play a pivotal role within the site integrated Health & Safety team at Hinkley Point C (HPC). As an HSE Advisor, you will champion the HPC way by ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are consistently met across a multi-functional, disciplined project. You will provide competent advice to project management and leadership teams, monitor welfare practices, and maintain strong working relationships with Tier 1 contractors and the Principal Contractor. Your role will involve conducting regular HSE inspections, reporting trends, performing site and subcontractor activity observations, intervening in unsafe practices, supporting training initiatives, and assisting with accident and incident investigations. You will split your time between site and office environments, gaining a thorough understanding of site procedures and ensuring field compliance. Flexibility and willingness to take on additional duties relevant to the role are essential.

Requirements

Experience
- NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent
- Background in COSHH and DSEAR regulations
- IOSH membership or equivalent professional accreditation
- Site-based experience in a similar role, ideally within the nuclear industry
- Understanding of nuclear site licence conditions and health & safety regulations
- Auditing experience or relevant qualification
- Strong investigative skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to undertake relevant training, including Level 3 Award in Education and trade-specific certifications

Qualifications
