About the Role
Join Altrad, a leading provider of infrastructure services, and play a pivotal role within the site integrated Health & Safety team at Hinkley Point C (HPC). As an HSE Advisor, you will champion the HPC way by ensuring health, safety, environmental, and welfare standards are consistently met across a multi-functional, disciplined project. You will provide competent specialist advice to project management and leadership teams, monitor compliance, conduct regular inspections, and build strong working relationships with Tier 1 contractors and the Principal Contractor. Your role involves splitting time between site and office environments, performing inspections and observations each shift, intervening in unsafe practices, supporting training initiatives, assisting with accident and incident investigations, and contributing to all project HSE functions as required. Flexibility and a willingness to take on additional duties appropriate to the role are essential. This is an opportunity to work on a high-impact project within the nuclear industry, contributing to the safe and sustainable operation of critical infrastructure.
Experience
- NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Construction Certificate, or equivalent
- Background in COSHH and DSEAR regulations
- IOSH membership or equivalent professional accreditation
- Site-based experience in a similar role, ideally within the nuclear industry
- Understanding of nuclear site licence conditions and health & safety regulations
- Auditing experience or relevant qualification
- Strong investigative skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to undertake relevant training, including Level 3 Award in Education and trade-specific certifications
