About the Role
The Data Centre Assurance Manager will ensure compliance with regulatory, industry, and company standards in data centre operations. This role encompasses overseeing health, safety, environmental, and quality assurance programs while aligning with industry best practices and legal obligations. You will be part of the EUK central DC sector team responsible for assuring all our DC FM contracts.
This involves close collaboration with mobilisation and transition teams to establish new DC accounts/sites and implement EUK policies and processes; the central technical assurance team to support technical and engineering assurance from operational, H&S, and quality perspectives; and operational FM teams to ensure EUK's high standards are implemented and adhered to.
As a new role, you will identify overlaps and define the most effective ways of working with these groups, continuously seeking to optimise internal processes and drive performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical knowledge to Managers to enable compliance with all aspects of Health and Safety primarily relating to design, build, manage, and maintain in construction projects ranging from £100k to £25 million.
- Monitor, report, and support project managers to ensure compliance with client and designer duties under CDM2015 regulations.
- Be aware of building regulations and competencies of Principal Designer/Principal Contractor.
- Support Risk Assessment Method Statements and implement current legislation and EMCOR UK and Client processes.
- Assist Site Teams in developing construction phase plans prior to commencement.
- Conduct regular Health and Safety compliance evaluations, inspections, and audits, liaising with site management to ensure actions are completed.
- Ensure construction sites and welfare provisions comply with all current regulations and standards.
- Promote and support a functional Be There For Life culture embracing EHS and Wellbeing principles.
- Support accident, incident, and near miss investigations and share lessons learned.
- Support continued accreditation to ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001.
- Assist in developing and rolling out strategies, policies, and guidelines that promote mental and physical wellbeing.
- Represent EMCOR UK at Stakeholder forums as required.
- Produce regular reports on Health, Safety, Quality, Environment, and Wellbeing performance.
- Support subcontractor compliance with site HSQE requirements.
- Manage delivery of contract deliverables and maintain collaborative working relationships with client HSEQ&W representatives.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders including clients, supply chain partners, regulatory authorities, and industry bodies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide technical and specialist guidance from planning through to completion.
- Take appropriate action where standards are not met.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in construction.
- Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and understanding of SharePoint.
- Experience working independently and delivering key objectives.

Qualifications
- Qualified to NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety as a minimum.
