About the Role
At Anglian Water, our Integrated Maintenance, Repair & Development Services (IMRDS) Alliance focuses on infrastructure maintenance including water network pressure management, leak detection and repair, lead pipe replacement, and burst main repairs. As a Customer Side Leakage Technician employed directly by Anglian Water, you will play a vital role in maintaining water supply and minimizing customer impact.
Your responsibilities will include carrying out a full range of leak detection activities, responding to jobs raised by Leakage Field Technicians, and travelling within the water network to investigate potential customer side leaks. You will be equipped with a fully stocked van and receive comprehensive training to use specialist leak detection equipment and progress enforcement processes.
This is a proactive, field-based role involving planned maintenance and first response investigations on customer side leaks. You will develop your leak detection skills daily and work towards becoming NRSWA accredited and LTO trained (licence to operate). As part of the team, you will receive hands-on training, job shadowing, and ongoing development.
As a valued employee, you will benefit from personal private health care, 26 days annual leave (increasing with service), access to a company vehicle, tools, uniform and PPE, a competitive pension scheme with Anglian Water double-matching contributions up to 7%, a bonus scheme, and flexible benefits to support your wellbeing and lifestyle.
Experience
Previous operational leakage experience including leak detection, resolving customer supply pipe leaks, distribution and leakage repair is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
About you
You will be enthusiastic, hardworking, and ambitious with a passion for hands-on work and problem solving. Excellent customer service skills and good communication are essential. You should have a reasonable knowledge of IT equipment such as tablets and mobile phones and a strong desire to contribute positively to your team.
A willingness to work nights and weekends as required is essential. A full driving licence is required as you will have access to a company vehicle.
Qualifications
No formal qualifications are specified; however, you will be supported to gain NRSWA accreditation and LTO training as part of your development.
