About the Role
UHI Inverness, a leading partner of the University of the Highlands and Islands, is seeking a Supply Lecturer in Forestry to join the Land and Science team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced academic colleagues delivering Forestry courses at the Scottish School of Forestry in Balloch, Inverness. You will be responsible for delivering curriculum in an innovative and engaging manner, focusing on best practices in teaching relevant Forestry topics. Key responsibilities include teaching and facilitating learning, assessment, guidance and support, planning and preparing learning experiences, maintaining quality and standards, and professional development.

We are looking for candidates with practical experience in Forestry and/or related industries who can train students in Forestry skills such as fencing, tool maintenance, establishment operations, felling trees, harvesting, and other Forestry activities. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys teaching and learning and can contribute effectively as part of a diverse team.

Training will be provided, and a teaching qualification is not required. However, some experience in instructing or teaching is welcomed. The successful candidate will be required to pass a satisfactory PVG Scheme check through Disclosure Scotland prior to employment.

Experience
Practical experience working in Forestry and/or related industries is essential. Experience in training or instructing others is desirable but not mandatory.
