£41,031 per year plus benefits and a 3% bonus.

About the Role
This Linesperson role reports to the field staff supervisor and is responsible for the delivery of network enhancement projects and restoration of electrical supplies on the UK Power Networks distribution system. Key duties include construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead lines and associated equipment, cable laying, excavation, backfill and reinstatement, and carrying out live line work on overhead lines up to and including 33kV. The role involves patrolling overhead lines, reporting defects, installing and removing current metering, replacing links and fuses on the 240/415v network, and using meters and instruments to record readings. Additional responsibilities include rigging, erecting and inspecting scaffolds, tree felling and trimming, vehicle operation and maintenance, operating communications and mechanical aids, switching, isolating and earthing when authorised, and undertaking standby duties on a contractual basis.

Experience
Previous experience or knowledge in overhead line construction and maintenance is required. Experience on the UK Power Networks network is desirable.
