About the Role
The Connection Coordinator will report to the Team Leader and work within Connection Services, responsible for the end-to-end service provision of metered connections to customers requiring new or altered services within the Broad Measure of Customer Service (BMoCS) minor category. This covers services for 1 to 4 properties or power requirements up to 69kVA.
You will act as the main point of contact for customers within the UK Power Networks footprint, managing quotations, booking site visits, taking payments, raising MPAN numbers, and coordinating work programming. You will have full accountability for guiding customers through each stage of their project.
The role involves managing all works up to 69kVA in categories LVSSA & LVSSB, from initial enquiries through quotation to scheduling delivery teams. You will contribute to delivering £10.6m of incentive revenue through BMoCS and Average Time to Quote and Connect (ATTQ/C) targets, playing a key role in strengthening customer satisfaction.
This is a crucial customer-facing role requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical and practical aspects clearly to a variety of customers. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure projects are completed on time, to standard, and within regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include managing customer enquiries, raising quotations, taking payments, scheduling and monitoring works, raising street works permits, liaising with local authorities and contractors, ensuring compliance with regulations, and resolving customer issues or complaints. You will also support team and department projects related to financial, business process, regulatory, or compliance activities.
Experience
Customer service experience with good telephone skills preferred. Experience working with multiple IT systems and fast, accurate keyboard skills is essential. Ability to work cooperatively within a team and resolve problems effectively.
Desirable: Minimum of C&G 2339 qualification but not essential.
