About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to bring your expertise in nature to Lloyds Banking Group and play a key role in delivering our sustainability ambitions. As Manager, you will join a team of sustainability specialists responsible for shaping the Group-wide approach to nature, providing strategic advice based on specialist technical knowledge, market insights, and trends.

You will be part of the Group Sustainable Business, enabling the Group to deliver on its purpose of Helping Britain Prosper by working across the organisation to unlock sustainable and inclusive growth for customers, colleagues, and communities.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the assessment and management of nature-related impacts, dependencies, risks, and opportunities across the Group, embedding a consistent internal approach aligned with external frameworks. You will apply leading science-based frameworks and initiatives such as TNFD, SBTN, IPBES, WBCSD, WEF, and UNEP-FI to support nature-related analysis, risk assessments, and decision-making.

Building effective working relationships across the Group to support collaboration and delivery of nature-related activities will be key, alongside monitoring emerging external nature-related policy, regulation, and market developments and translating these into clear implications for the Group and its business areas.

You will also support engagement with relevant external initiatives and forums, share knowledge to build internal capability, and contribute to continuous improvement of ways of working to deliver at pace with accuracy, efficiency, and impact.

Requirements

Experience
At least 5 years' experience in nature and/or sustainable finance, ideally complemented by experience in risk management and/or developing sustainable products and services. Strong understanding of global, regional, and national nature-related frameworks, policies, and initiatives and their relevance to the financial services sector.

Experience working across teams and functions to support shared objectives, with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence diverse teams.

Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, adapting messages for different audiences.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines.

AI literacy with a curious mindset and proven experience responsibly leveraging AI to drive efficiency and enhance productivity.

Additional desirable skills and knowledge
- Specific expertise in nature-related topics such as water, land use, biodiversity, soil, or the climate-nature nexus.
- Good understanding of environmental markets including nature and tech-based solutions, carbon and biodiversity credits, and emerging market standards.
- Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks related to nature and their implications for financial institutions, risk management, or product development.
- Understanding of the built environment sectors such as housing, commercial real estate, infrastructure or land use, and their interaction with nature-related risks, opportunities, and regulation.
- Experience applying systems thinking, including understanding interdependencies across value chains, sectors, and environmental, economic, and social systems, and applying this to risk and strategy.

Qualifications
While specific qualifications are not detailed, relevant experience and transferable skills in nature, sustainability, risk management, or sustainable finance are encouraged.
