This is an exciting opportunity to join the DESNZ Communications team and support our Clean Energy Mission marketing campaigns. These campaigns are part of the government’s plan to make the UK a clean energy superpower by 2025 and move towards net zero by 2050.
In this role, you will help coordinate and deliver campaign activities within the Communications Directorate and with external partners. You will assist with managing relationships with agencies and stakeholders to deliver clear and effective communications. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in government communications and marketing.
Key responsibilities include supporting paid media activity, managing partnerships, working alongside policy and digital teams to promote home energy efficiency, supporting website development and maintenance, managing campaign finances, coordinating campaign approvals, supporting asset development, gathering insight and evaluation data, and assisting with CRM activity.
Experience
- Some experience of paid marketing, with an interest in delivering insight- and data-informed campaigns across digital, social, broadcast, and partnership channels.
- Comfortable supporting multiple agencies or partners simultaneously, coordinating work and tracking progress.
- Experience supporting website content updates or launches is desirable.
- Experience using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and familiarity with digital analytics or tracking tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager) is advantageous.
- Experience monitoring social media performance or audience sentiment is desirable.
- An interest in sustainability, clean energy, or climate-related communications is beneficial.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required; however, relevant experience in marketing, communications, or related fields is preferred.
