We are primarily a distributor of renewable energy system components, including solar panels, batteries, and heat pumps. Midsummer is one of the UK’s leading distributors, supplying thousands of installers nationwide. We also develop cutting-edge design software such as Easy PV for photovoltaic systems and Heatpunk for heat pump systems.
The Operations Assistant role is fast-paced and varied, requiring problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and attention to detail. You will work closely with customers, courier partners, and internal teams to deliver high-quality advice and resolutions. This role is central to ensuring smooth operations, anticipating and preventing problems, and maintaining clear, consistent, and honest communication.
Key responsibilities include handling customer enquiries by phone and email, liaising with couriers and warehouses to resolve delivery issues, managing re-deliveries and account queries, arranging replacements and collections when errors occur, and keeping accurate records of interactions and errors to support Sales and Operations teams.
During busy periods, you may also assist in the warehouse, so a willingness to get involved in various tasks is essential.

Experience
Degree level qualifications in any subject are helpful but not essential. Candidates with 2+ years experience in logistics or operations roles are welcome to apply. Experience in operations, customer service, retail, or warehouse work is a bonus but not required. Recent graduates interested in starting a career in renewables are encouraged to apply.
