As a Planning Manager, you will be an advocate of Mace's core value of safety first, leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, and project compliance standards. You will possess expertise in local health and safety regulations relevant to the project portfolio and champion a diverse and inclusive working environment, prioritising the wellbeing of your team.

You will manage the delivery of key assignments and business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with the overall vision and objectives. Supporting the long-term success of Planning performance across specified sectors and hubs, you will ensure projects and tenders are effectively planned, scheduled, and monitored.

Integrity is central to this role; you will support senior management in negotiations, contract development, and business development activities, applying due diligence and contributing to the sustainable future strategy of the function or business unit. You will take ownership of making a positive impact for our people, clients, and planet, holding others accountable to uphold Mace values.

Creating opportunities for your team to excel, you will foster knowledge sharing, actively network, innovate, and utilise the full depth of Mace’s expertise, including centres of excellence and knowledge hubs. You will maintain effective communication and collaborative relationships with clients and project stakeholders, both internal and external.

Requirements

Experience
- Extensive experience in successful planning of projects and programmes
- Deep expertise in property or infrastructure project management
- Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams
- Experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders
- Strong commercial and financial acumen

Qualifications
- Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development
