About the Role
As a Plant Operator at Veolia, you will play a key role in supporting sustainable resource management and helping create a better future for all. You will handle raw materials and support product quality control throughout the wood pellet production process. Your responsibilities will include monitoring production activity to ensure operational KPIs are met, carrying out routine plant inspections, and making operational adjustments as required. You will operate plant and equipment safely and efficiently in line with training and site procedures, collect and report accurate production data, and work in accordance with the company’s Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems. You will also comply with all relevant legislation, policies, and operational procedures, and complete ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Experience
Previous experience in a similar production, processing, plant, or operational role is advantageous but not essential. Experience operating a range of mobile equipment following appropriate training is required.

About you
You will have strong IT skills, including the ability to accurately record and report operational data. A full UK driving licence and access to reliable transport are essential due to the site location. You should have an understanding of quality control, KPI monitoring, and safe plant operation. A willingness to undertake continued learning and development relevant to the role is important.

Qualifications
Completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship or operational training course is advantageous but not mandatory.
