About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic candidates to join a Plumbing & Domestic Heating Technician Apprenticeship in Greenwich. As an apprentice, you will combine practical, on-the-job experience with formal training, developing the skills needed to become a qualified plumbing and domestic heating technician. You will work alongside experienced professionals and progressively take on more responsibility as your skills develop. The role involves working both inside and outside properties and provides experience across a wide range of plumbing and heating systems.

- Greenwich borough residents only
- Includes 8 hours of paid college/training time per week
- Manual handling of loads up to 25kg
- You may work outdoors and on uneven terrain
- Commitment to completing the apprenticeship and progressing towards qualification is essential
Experience
- Strong interest in becoming a qualified plumber
- Willingness to learn and take instruction
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable with practical and physical work
- Previous plumbing, heating, construction or maintenance experience is desirable but not essential
- Previous experience working with tools is desirable
- CSCS or JIB card and additional plumbing or heating-related qualifications are advantageous
About You
Reliable, punctual and committed with a proactive attitude and pride in your work. You should be comfortable working as part of a team and able to adapt to different working environments. Good problem-solving skills and a safety-conscious mindset are important. You must be comfortable working outdoors and in changing conditions and be committed to progressing within the plumbing and heating industry.
Qualifications
- Level 2 Plumbing Studies Diploma
- English and Maths at GCSE Grade 3 or above, or Functional Skills Level 1 or above
- Must be 18 or over due to site health and safety requirements
- Must live in the London Borough of Greenwich
- Must have been living in England for the last 3 years with the right to work
- Must not currently be enrolled on another course
