About the Role
Mott MacDonald is a global engineering, management, and development consultancy with over 20,000 employees across more than 50 countries and 140+ offices. Our Water Utilities Division is a centre of excellence addressing the UK and Ireland's water and wastewater challenges, delivering projects that ensure safe water supplies, prevent urban flooding, and improve river and coastal health. We provide services throughout the full project lifecycle, from advisory and feasibility studies to detailed design.

As a Principal or Associate Project Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary teams delivering engineering projects in partnership with clients and contractors. You will manage projects from design definition through to implementation, ensuring compliance with business management systems, technical quality assurance, programme and cost control, and client engagement. You will supervise junior staff, provide technical and commercial guidance, and contribute to commercial success through forecasting, risk management, and bid production.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work on innovative and sustainable solutions addressing leakage, clean water provision, and sewage disposal challenges across water utility assets. You will manage fast-paced, sometimes emergency projects, balancing change and impacts within wider programmes. Mott MacDonald offers a highly collaborative environment with career progression opportunities in technical, management, or client-facing directions.
