About the Role
Ameresco, Inc. is a leading energy infrastructure company delivering integrated solutions that provide reliable power and modernize infrastructure across North America, the UK and Europe. Join us in building the infrastructure that powers the future and make a meaningful impact while growing your career with a company at the forefront of energy innovation.

The Programme Manager - Energy and Electrical Vehicle Infrastructure (EVI) will lead the development and delivery of renewable energy and electric vehicle infrastructure programmes across Bristol City Leap’s portfolio. This role is responsible for overseeing the identification, development, approval, and implementation of solar photovoltaic (PV), battery energy storage system (BESS), and EVI projects that reduce carbon emissions, increase local renewable energy generation, and support net zero commitments.

The successful candidate will translate Bristol City Leap objectives and client ambitions into a prioritised pipeline of financially viable, investable, and deliverable projects across Bristol City Council’s estate and the wider regional area. Responsibilities include identifying investment opportunities, shaping programme roadmaps, developing financial models and business cases, securing stakeholder support, and ensuring programme activities maximise carbon reduction, social value, commercial returns, and operational performance.

This role requires strong programme leadership managing a portfolio of projects from opportunity identification and feasibility through approvals, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover. The ideal candidate will have a blend of programme management expertise, renewable energy and EVI knowledge, financial and commercial capability, strategic planning, and stakeholder management experience, preferably with public sector organisations or large commercial corporate estate owners.
