About the Role
Join Barclays for a 10-week Summer Internship in the Public Policy and Corporate Responsibility (PPCR) division, where you will gain hands-on experience working on real projects that shape the bank’s societal purpose. PPCR is responsible for sustainability, citizenship agendas, communications strategy, and government and regulatory policy engagement. You will support day-to-day operations by executing research projects, preparing presentations and reports, and collaborating with senior management and cross-functional teams to implement findings that influence strategic decision-making. The role offers exposure to diverse, intellectually challenging projects in a fast-paced environment, developing your ability to communicate and engage with senior stakeholders and think strategically about Barclays’ objectives. You will also participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge. This internship provides a unique opportunity to build lasting connections, gain valuable insights into corporate affairs, and explore a potential career path within Barclays.

Requirements

Experience
Penultimate or final year university student with strong written and oral communication skills. Interest in corporate affairs, public policy, or sustainability is highly desirable.

About you
Motivated and eager to learn, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. You should be able to manage multiple tasks, demonstrate attention to detail, and communicate complex information effectively. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for making an impact in the corporate responsibility field are essential.

Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a university degree program, with legal right to work full-time in the UK from June to August 2026. This internship does not offer sponsorship. If successful in securing a graduate role following the internship, sponsorship is not available for the 2027 Graduate Programme.
