About the Role
This Graduate Programme offers a unique opportunity to join Barclays' Public Policy and Corporate Responsibility (PPCR) division, which sits at the heart of the bank's societal purpose. You will support day-to-day operations by providing insights and expertise that enable senior colleagues to make informed decisions, develop new products and services, and identify market opportunities. Your responsibilities will include executing small research projects, preparing presentations and reports, collaborating with senior management and cross-functional teams, and supporting business initiatives. You will also participate in training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge, manage client relationships, and contribute to the development and implementation of financial models and strategies related to public policy and corporate responsibility.

Throughout the 2-year Explorer Programme, you will complete three eight-month rotations, gaining breadth and depth of experience through bespoke job-based training. You will work on diverse and intellectually challenging projects, learning to communicate and engage effectively with senior stakeholders, think strategically, and contribute to the bank’s sustainability, citizenship, communications, and government engagement agendas.

Requirements

Experience
Recent graduates or soon-to-be graduates with no prior experience required. A strong motivation to pursue a career in corporate affairs and public policy is essential.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with senior stakeholders. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Demonstrates Barclays’ values and mindset. Motivated, curious, creative, and ambitious individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
A strong degree or expected degree in any discipline. Please note that sponsorship is not available for this programme; applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK full-time from August 2026 to August 2028. The Public Policy and Corporate Responsibility business area is currently out of scope for sponsorship after the programme.
