About the Role
Hertsmere Borough Council is seeking Refuse / Recycling Loaders to join our efficient street cleansing, waste, and recycling collection service within and around Hertsmere. The role involves collecting all types of refuse and recycling waste from litter bins, residential bins, and trade bins, and loading them into refuse vehicles. This physically demanding job requires excellent fitness levels, as you will be expected to walk 8 to 12 miles per day. You will work as part of a team to ensure waste collection is carried out efficiently and to a high standard.

Experience
Proven experience of heavy manual work involving lifting is essential. Experience in refuse or recycling collection is advantageous.

About you
You should have a customer service approach to service delivery, communicating positively and working efficiently within a team. You must be self-motivated and able to work without close supervision. Excellent physical fitness and stamina are required to meet the demands of the role.
