About the Role

As a Safety, Health & Environmental Manager, you will play a key role in advancing SOCOTEC Group's mission by providing expert safety, health, and environmental support across the UK. You will support the Safety Management System (SMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) by conducting both external and internal audits and inspections for SOCOTEC and its clients. Your responsibilities will include upholding and enhancing safe systems of work, policies, and procedures while ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards and certifications. This role requires a passionate individual committed to promoting health, safety, and environmental values, managing multiple sites, and traveling across the UK to oversee facilities and project locations. Experience
- 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar safety, health, and environmental management role
- Previous experience in a compliance role
- Experience managing multiple sites and conducting audits and inspections
About you
- Passionate about promoting health, safety, and environmental values
- Willingness to travel across UK sites
- Strong understanding of environmental legislation related to waste, carbon, and sustainability commitments
- Knowledge of laboratories and environmental activities including legionella, asbestos, air, and emissions management
- Full UK driving licence
Qualifications
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (Level 3 minimum)
- Associate membership of IEMA or equivalent environmental qualification
- IOSH membership
