Sales Manager - Solar PV & Battery Energy Storage (BESS)

Location
Warrington, with an expectation of approximately three office days per week when not travelling for business.
Hours
Full time, with travel to customer sites and project locations as required.

About the Role

We have partnerships across Europe, based on local expertise and a deep understanding of each market. We are currently seeking a Sales Manager - Solar PV & Battery Energy Storage (BESS) to generate and qualify new leads, develop sales opportunities, and take commercial ownership throughout the sales cycle. The successful candidate will build and maintain strong customer relationships, manage tender processes, submit high-quality compliant bids, negotiate commercial terms, and secure new contracts. This role involves leading tender preparation, coordinating internal stakeholders, reviewing technical and commercial assumptions, and representing Greenvolt Next UK at customer meetings, industry conferences, and renewable energy events.
Experience
- Proven experience in business development, sales, account management, or commercial leadership roles.
- Strong lead generation, pipeline management, and opportunity conversion skills.
- Experience leading complex commercial proposals or tender submissions.
- Proficient in CRM systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics.
- Experience in Solar PV, wind energy, battery storage, or other renewable energy sectors.
- Experience in electrical contracting, energy services, facilities management.
- Experience in engineering services, building technologies, infrastructure, construction.
- Experience in other technical B2B sales environments.

Qualifications
- A technical, engineering, or related degree is beneficial but not essential.
