About the Role
Scottish Woodlands Utilities Division is a well-established contractor specialising in vegetation and fencing contracts alongside a variety of minor civils works throughout Scotland. As the Utilities division continues to grow, we are recruiting experienced Arborists, Forestry Operatives, Chainsaw Operators, Plant Operators, Harvester and Forwarder Operatives to join our expanding team.
You will primarily work on utility vegetation management contracts related to new or existing transmission powerlines, railways, and general forestry operations. Duties include utility tree chainsaw operations, assisted felling, tree climbing, chipper operations, felling on steep and wet ground, felling to forestry machines, roadside vegetation removal, and small-scale felling operations.

Experience
Experience and certification in chainsaw operation or arboriculture is desirable, though training can be provided for the right candidates.

You must be self-motivated, show initiative, and be capable of working effectively as part of a professional team. Willingness to work in all weather conditions and knowledge of working in remote environments is essential.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a full driver’s licence. All successful candidates will be required to undergo an employment medical examination including drugs and alcohol screening.
