About the Role

As Senior Commercial Manager - Consultancy within the Water Sector, you will provide alliance-wide leadership on performance assurance, cost control, and reporting across a large-scale utilities project in the region. Your role is to deliver a single, trusted view of commercial and operational performance, strengthen governance, transparency, and decision-making, and enable successful AMP8 outcomes through consistent standards and collaboration.

Working collaboratively with Anglian Water and Alliance partners—including the NEC ECC Project Manager, AWS Commercial Performance Manager, Programme Delivery Manager, and Delivery Assurance Manager—you will support the achievement of required outputs, outcomes, and efficiencies under AMP8.

Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing a single, assured alliance-wide performance truth
- Managing commercial governance, controls, reporting, and targets
- Ensuring consistency across cost, forecasting, and change
- Providing clear leadership to regional and central commercial teams
- Aligning delivery with Anglian Water frameworks
- Driving insight, continuous improvement, and value
- Championing proactive risk and opportunity management
- Embedding safety first and a zero-accident culture

Experience
Proven experience in commercial management within consultancy or construction sectors, preferably with exposure to large-scale utilities projects and alliance working.
Strong background in performance assurance, cost control, governance, and reporting.
Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and partners to achieve project outcomes.
