About the Role
At Mace Construct, our purpose is to redefine the boundaries of ambition. We are innovators, trusted partners, and construction experts committed to delivering projects safer, faster, and greener. The Lasdun Wall redevelopment project has commenced following official planning permission. Phase One includes two floors of modern teaching space and four floors of laboratory and learning facilities, supporting the university's ambition to become a net zero campus by 2045 or earlier.

As Senior Construction Manager, you will be responsible for delivering large, multiple delivery-specific areas or work packages on the Lasdun Wall project to agreed safety standards, quality, programme, and budget. You will make operational decisions on sequencing methodology and work closely with the Delivery Team to develop detailed short, mid, and long-term plans for successful delivery.

Your role includes working as part of the Senior Construction Delivery Team, taking direction from the Construction Lead and Project Senior Leadership Team, and providing guidance to the wider team. You will promote and drive business priorities through Construction to Production, Digital & Data, and responsible business initiatives. You will own Safety, Wellbeing, and Quality deliverables for specific project sections and contribute to maintaining a strong Health, Safety, and Wellbeing culture onsite.

You will support managers in leading focused forecast look-ahead meetings, develop and maintain strong relationships with the Client and Design CMT, and ensure QA processes are followed through to final sign-off. Providing comprehensive technical expertise and understanding of Mace onsite standards, you will identify and implement continuous improvement plans and foster both internal and external relationships to enhance project delivery.

Experience
- Detailed knowledge of all construction methodologies and processes, particularly Structural, Facade, and Fit Out disciplines.
- Proven experience managing packages or areas of work from start to finish onsite.
- Knowledge of Method Statement processes and relevant digital platforms.
- Experience in managing Health, Safety & Wellbeing standards onsite.
