About the Role
Join Bath and North East Somerset Council’s Capital Programme and Project Delivery Team during an exciting period of significant capital investment. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the transformation of a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Spa, set within an area of outstanding natural beauty. You will be involved in delivering a diverse range of major and technically complex construction projects across the Council’s property and asset portfolio, including housing, public spaces, social, historic, environmental, and economic initiatives. The Capital Construction Programme supports long-term sustainability and income-generating projects, with a combined project value exceeding £200 million.

You will manage projects from feasibility and technical design through to construction and handover, working within an award-winning multi-disciplinary team. The role requires strong technical knowledge in design, contract management, planning, and construction project management. You will collaborate closely with the Sustainable Communities team, which includes Planning, Heritage Services, Housing, Transport Strategy, Public Realm, and Corporate Estate teams.

The Council offers flexible working arrangements and provides IT equipment to support home working. The office base is Keynsham Civic Centre, but working arrangements can be tailored to suit the right candidate.

Requirements

Experience
Proven track record in delivering major or technically complex construction projects from feasibility through to completion and handover. Strong technical knowledge of design, contract management, planning, and construction project management is essential.

Qualifications
