About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals passionate about cost and commercial management to join our Education sector team as a Senior Cost Consultant with an MEP background. You will provide full cycle cost management services for ongoing commissions and projects, including conducting feasibility studies, advising on procurement strategies and contract selection, and writing procurement reports. You will apply value management techniques at the outset of projects, manage estimating and cost planning activities, take ownership of and present final cost plans, and ensure final accounts are negotiated and agreed. Acting as a key interface with clients, stakeholders, and other consultants at all project stages, you will handle contractual frameworks and standard forms of contract. You will also identify and act upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates, products, and internal systems to enhance the services provided to clients.

Experience
Proven experience advising on contract administration including JCT and NEC forms, value engineering, and life cycle costing. Expertise in Capex vs Opex cost analysis and advice. Commercial insight on MEP, sustainability, carbon reduction, and public-sector priorities. Demonstrated ability to apply industry best practice, multi-sector experience, and professional standards to deliver client outcomes.

Qualifications
Relevant professional qualifications in cost consultancy, quantity surveying, or related disciplines are desirable. Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to industry standards.
