About the Role
The transport sector is rapidly transforming, driven by smart, multi-modal travellers and the urgent need to decarbonise while expanding services. As a Senior Engineer within the Midlands Transport Roads Civils and Aviation team, you will be based in one of our offices across the UK and play a key role in airfield infrastructure design. Your responsibilities will include producing specifications, drawings, and reports, site supervision, and mentoring junior team members. You will manage multiple projects in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment, ensuring compliance with airfield design standards such as EASA, ICAO, and CAP168, while navigating the constraints of working on live airfields. Typical design elements include geometry, airfield planning and compliance, pavements, drainage, markings, utilities, and airfield lighting. You will also contribute to business development activities including bid support, project management, design liaison, and team leadership. Experience
- Proven UK design experience in civil engineering, specifically airfield infrastructure
- Experience in airfield pavements design and inspections
- Client-facing skills and business development experience including bid and project management
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a multidisciplinary environment

Qualifications
- MEng Civil Engineering or a strong civils-based degree
- Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status with ICE, or actively working towards chartership
