About the Role
Join Arup, a global firm of designers, planners, engineers, consultants and technical specialists, committed to shaping a better world through innovative and sustainable solutions. As a Senior Environmental Consultant within the Assessments team of our Climate Change and Sustainability Services business in London, you will deliver environmental impact assessments for a diverse range of projects including major national infrastructure in transport, water and energy sectors, as well as urban development projects. You will work with private developers, public sector authorities and other organisations in a multidisciplinary environment alongside environmental, planning, engineering and urban design specialists. Your responsibilities will include managing the assessment process and technical teams, writing and reviewing environmental reports such as EIA screening letters, scoping reports and Environmental Statements, ensuring compliance with EIA regulations, and undertaking project management activities including programming, budget control and client liaison. You will also contribute to business development and marketing activities by preparing bids and presentations. Requirements

Experience
Proven experience delivering environmental impact assessment projects, including managing technical teams and multidisciplinary projects. Knowledge of environmental legislation and its application to a variety of project types. Experience working within a commercial environment, including client liaison, programme and time management, quality assurance and financial control. Experience in the Energy and/or Water sectors and familiarity with the Planning Act 2008 Development Consent Order (DCO) process is desirable.

Qualifications
Degree level education, preferably a master's degree. Full membership of an appropriate professional institute such as the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA) or equivalent. Chartered Environmentalist status is desirable but not mandatory.
