About the Role
Veolia is seeking a Senior Land Remediation Manager who is passionate about ecological transformation and committed to making a genuine environmental impact. In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert in contaminated land remediation, particularly on industrial and COMAH sites. You will provide expert advice, guidance, and support to customers on contaminated land remediation projects to achieve their targeted outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include managing environmental site assessments such as Phase I and Phase II investigations, sampling programmes, and interpreting findings. You will develop and implement remediation strategies and plans, applying your technical expertise to address complex soil and groundwater contamination.
Leading the design and delivery of contaminated land remediation solutions, you will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality and environmental standards. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors, fostering collaboration to meet shared objectives.
Building strong relationships with customers, regulators, consultants, and suppliers will be key, as will identifying opportunities for growth and continuous improvement. You will support tenders and new business initiatives while helping to enhance Veolia's remediation processes and environmental outcomes.

Experience
- Extensive experience in contaminated land remediation with 8+ years across consultancy and project management.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale remediation projects valued at £1m+ involving multiple teams and subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of UK contaminated land legislation and regulatory frameworks, including experience working with Environment Agency, SEPA, NRW or NIEA.
- Technical expertise in environmental site assessments and remediation strategy development and implementation.
- Experience working on COMAH sites or similarly complex, highly regulated environments is highly desirable.
