Within our Ports, Coastal and Offshore (PCO) team, the Senior Marine Cable & Renewables Engineer will play a key role in delivering marine cable and renewables projects worldwide, including the UK, Caribbean, North America, Middle East, Asia, and Africa. Your work will span the full project lifecycle, from cable routing, burial risk assessments, and feasibility studies through to detailed design, transport, installation, construction supervision, and monitoring.
You will contribute to offshore wind and marine renewables projects involving fixed and floating foundations, managing constraints mapping, site prospecting, site investigation, data management, and GIS. Depending on your skills and interests, you may also take on project management responsibilities such as resourcing, programming, commercial and contract matters, risk and quality oversight, and contract procurement including tender preparation and management through to award.
Collaboration and knowledge sharing are central to this role, as you will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver sustainable solutions aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. You will also support business development initiatives and tender submissions to grow our PCO account. Travel overseas for project assignments may be required.
Experience
- Proven experience in marine cable engineering, offshore wind, and marine renewables within a consultancy environment
- Demonstrated delivery of marine cable engineering projects from offshore to coastal zones using innovative and digitally driven techniques
- Project leadership experience
- Business development experience including client liaison and bid preparation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including report writing and presentations
- Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards
- Chartered status with a relevant professional institution such as IET, IMechE, ICE, EI, or equivalent demonstrable experience

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is desirable but not essential if equivalent experience is demonstrated
