About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey.

The project: In the energy sector, the UK will need to invest up to £900 billion of capital expenditure to enable a net zero economy by 2050. For our clients in the sector, this means delivering complex projects and programmes delivering low-carbon technologies and infrastructure and doing so safely, efficiently, and at pace.

As Senior Planning Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring consistent application of coding structures, planning standards, and risk-adjusted logic across all schedule inputs. You will govern schedule updates, baseline control, and reporting cycles, driving high levels of contributor compliance and data quality. You will manage scenario modelling and impact assessments to support decision-making for major changes and emerging risks.

You will provide clear visibility from short-term lookaheads through to key programme milestones, enabling proactive management of delivery risks and opportunities. Developing reporting outputs that support effective planning across short, medium, and long-term horizons will be a key part of your role.

Key outcomes include:
- A robust, integrated planning baseline that supports confident decision-making
- Improved alignment across stakeholders and contributors
- Enhanced ability to identify, mitigate, and manage delivery risks
