As a Senior Risk Consultant, you will deliver risk consulting assignments profitably and with positive feedback, managing small consulting assignments where necessary to support the development of the practice.

Key responsibilities include supporting effective risk management services on projects and/or workstreams within larger projects with minimal input from Principals, Associates or Directors; developing and presenting client risk management deliverables; engaging effectively with a wide range of stakeholders; advising on corrective actions needed to mitigate threats and utilise opportunities in accordance with organisation processes; supporting project leaders in successful project delivery; providing regular reports to project and risk managers on the risk status of projects and programmes; and establishing and coordinating registers of risk management activities.

The WSP Risk Management Team is a standalone function working across multiple industries, internally with WSP design teams and externally with clients. The team includes risk professionals with diverse backgrounds and seniority, based across UK offices and India, and collaborates globally with colleagues in North America and the Middle East. Collaboration and continuous improvement are central to the team’s culture.

Projects span nationwide and local initiatives supporting sustainable growth across the UK, as well as international projects in Africa and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Sectors include highways, rail, aviation, energy, water, defence, waste, clean air, active travel and more. Our clients include industry leaders, local enterprise companies and local government organisations, supporting growth and opportunity.

Experience
Expertise in all aspects of project risk management facilitation. Experience working on infrastructure projects in at least one of the following sub-sectors: rail, energy, highways, aviation, defence and/or utility sectors. Good understanding or experience of building simple cost, schedule, and business risk models using applications such as ARM, Primavera Risk Analyser, Safran Risk, Predict, and Xactium. Knowledge of risk management techniques and project management and project control processes.

Qualifications
Degree qualified is desirable. A recognised diploma or degree or qualified by experience with a qualification in risk management. Membership of the Institute of Risk Management, Association for Project Management Risk Practitioner or other professional associations is desirable.
