To continue to sustainably grow as a business, we are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant to join our team to support town planning and consenting inputs on major and nationally significant infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience working within multi-disciplinary teams to secure consent and approvals for major or nationally significant infrastructure projects via the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and the Planning Act 2008. We are also interested in candidates with experience securing consents for major projects by means of the Planning (Wales) Act 2015, Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act, Transport and Works Act Order, or the Electricity Act.
Experience
- Supporting and taking responsibility for aspects of town planning or consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs etc)
- Providing technical advice to clients and supporting management of their consenting requirements, demonstrating awareness of client expectations and needs
- Coordinating the preparation and submission of consent applications under the Town and Country Planning Acts, the Planning Act 2008, or other relevant regimes
- Supporting negotiations with statutory bodies and stakeholders on behalf of clients
- Engaging with multi-disciplinary teams and supporting or supervising others in their work/project delivery roles
- Awareness of project finances and some project management experience, ideally within a consultancy environment

Able to work collaboratively across disciplines and support project delivery effectively.
Qualifications
- Degree level qualification in town planning (or equivalent)
- Member of or eligible for membership of the RTPI (Royal Town Planning Institute)
