About the Role
Camden Council is leading the way in sustainable transport and healthy streets initiatives. As a Senior Transport Planner, you will play a key role in delivering two major projects: the Holborn Liveable Neighbourhood programme and the Better, Safer Kilburn scheme. The Holborn LN programme is a £50m+ ambitious project aimed at transforming the area into safe, healthy, accessible, and climate-resilient streets while enhancing public spaces and supporting local businesses and attractions such as the British Museum. The Better, Safer Kilburn scheme is a £12m project focused on making Kilburn town centre safer, more attractive, and environmentally friendly by improving air quality and encouraging walking and cycling.
You will manage individual projects through design, consultation, and implementation phases, coordinating with internal teams and external partners including Transport for London. Your responsibilities will include community engagement, ensuring inclusivity, contributing to strategic initiatives such as urban greening and public health improvements, preparing high-quality reports, managing budgets, and overseeing consultants. You may also mentor TfL Placement Graduates and represent the Council at internal and external meetings.
