You will lead and deliver a range of projects focused on PLEXOS and power system studies, collaborating with experts across WSP to provide high-quality technical solutions.

In this role, you will write and review technical reports and proposals, participate in bidding activities, maintain client relationships, and support and train team members. An ability and enthusiasm for direct client contact and building strong client relationships is essential.

Your work will involve delivering activities using PLEXOS such as capacity expansion planning, electricity market modelling, generation portfolio optimisation studies (co-located Solar/Wind + BESS), resource adequacy studies, power system steady state studies (load flow, fault level, reactive compensation), dynamic studies (frequency and voltage stability), harmonic analysis, power quality and filter design, transient overvoltage and insulation coordination simulation studies (switching/lightning), control interaction studies, earthing studies, protection coordination, arc flash studies, and grid connection support for onshore and offshore developers.

Depending on your experience, you may also have the opportunity to work on additional power system studies.

Requirements

Experience
A degree in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems specialisation. Experience in power systems consulting. Proven expertise in PLEXOS and at least one of the following power systems software packages: DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD, IPSA or CDEG. A network of industry contacts and clients. Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality consulting work and lead project teams.

About you
Proactive and highly motivated to meet customer requirements. Strong focus on quality and excellence in deliverables for project reports and proposals. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects and proposals simultaneously. Excellent communication skills with enthusiasm for client engagement and relationship building.

Qualifications
A degree in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems specialisation is essential. Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in power systems or related fields are advantageous but not mandatory.
