About the Role
At WSP, you will have the opportunity to work on landmark projects that make a positive impact globally. Join our Ground & Water team within the Earth & Environment business, where you will contribute to key regional and national projects, including energy transition, infrastructure, and nuclear decommissioning. We are seeking several Site Engineers (Geo-Environmental) to support large scale ground investigations, with a significant proportion of time spent on-site and travelling across the UK.

The role involves day-to-day delivery of projects, working closely with team members, project managers, and directors. Typical activities include groundwater monitoring, supervision of contractors such as drill rigs, soil logging, environmental sampling, chemical and geotechnical testing, groundwater sampling, and ground gas monitoring. You will ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.

This is a predominantly site-based role requiring flexibility and a proactive approach to managing multiple projects within a supportive and expert team environment.

Requirements

Experience
- Knowledge of planning and supervision of site investigations
- Understanding and application of Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations for safe design and implementation of site investigations
- Data handling skills; experience with GIS is desirable

- Full UK driving licence (or equivalent) is essential
- Comfortable working on-site and travelling across the UK

Qualifications
- Site safety qualifications such as first aid training and Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) or equivalent are desirable
- Relevant technical degree (e.g. chemistry, biology, geology, engineering, environmental science) is desirable but not essential
- Willingness and ability to travel to sites across the UK as required
