About the Role
As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, you will lead the creation and maintenance of a safe, compliant, and proactive working environment. Your role will focus on building a strong safety culture through coaching, capability building, and colleague engagement. You will support the implementation of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, embed ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards, and drive continuous improvement across the site.
You will manage relationships with regulatory bodies, oversee audits, lead risk profiling and claims management, and ensure legal compliance through robust HSE processes. Your leadership will be visible across the site as you champion HSE initiatives and support delivery of site OGSM and CBN targets.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing site-wide procedures, building HSE capabilities, tracking performance metrics, managing the HSE budget and capital allocation, and leading internal audits and investigations.

Experience
- Proven experience in FMCG manufacturing environments
- Previous leadership experience as part of a Site Leadership Team driving cultural and performance improvements
- Strong technical and analytical skills including use of Microsoft Office, interpreting HSE data and trends, risk profiling, and claims management

Qualifications
- NEBOSH Health and Safety Diploma (NVQ Level 6 equivalent) and IEMA Environmental Certificate are essential
- IEMA Environmental Diploma preferred
- Internal auditing qualification required
- Membership of IOSH required
