About the Role
As part of the Site Leadership Team, you will lead the creation of a safe, compliant, and proactive working environment. You will be a key influencer in building a strong safety culture through coaching, capability building, and colleague engagement. Your responsibilities include supporting the implementation of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, embedding ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards, and driving continuous improvement. You will manage relationships with regulatory bodies, oversee audits, lead risk profiling, and claims management.

You will develop and implement site-wide procedures to ensure legal compliance, lead the roll-out of robust HSE processes aligned with ISO standards, and support operational and project teams to meet regulatory requirements. You will embed the Integrated Work System (IWS) HSE Pillar across the site.

Through coaching, mentoring, and colleague engagement, you will build HSE capabilities and promote a positive safety culture, encouraging ownership and a prevention-first mindset at all levels of the site.

You will track HSE performance by monitoring key metrics, analysing trends, and presenting data to the Safety Committee, Site Leadership Team, and Executive reviews. Using these insights, you will shape strategic plans, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure ongoing legal compliance.

Managing the site HSE budget and capital allocation will be part of your role, prioritising risk reduction opportunities, overseeing annual HSE capital spend, and ensuring effective use of resources for long-term improvements. You will also manage claims and collaborate with insurers and inspectors during investigations.

As a visible and influential leader, you will champion HSE initiatives, support site OGSM and CBN targets, lead internal audits, interface with regulatory bodies, and help shape the site’s safety culture through clear communication and collaboration.
